Higher Grounds - Fergus Falls

As a fan of dark roast coffee, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they have their own house blend. They describe it as rich, smoky, and balanced—and I couldn't agree more! I paired it with their delicious coffee cookies, which are made from their own recipe. The baker truly has talent! When I asked the owner about her success, she credited a friend who encouraged her to start baking. Once word spread, the community quickly embraced her delightful treats, and I can understand why! The restaurant also features outdoor seating, Wi-Fi, and a tasty selection of soups, sandwiches, small plates, and tea lattes. The venue itself is charming, but be prepared to climb some stairs to reach the dining area. They are open from 9 AM to 5 PM on weekdays and Saturdays. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Higher Soils!

The atmosphere is fantastic, and the coffee is excellent. The personal service is outstanding.

We loved this coffee shop. Great coffee drinks, fantastic country style sandwiches on thick delicious bread, and really friendly employees. Lots to look at, some great jewelry and decor items for sale. Very cozy with tables and couches, we could have stayed for hours chatting with the owner who was just so friendly and willing to spend time chatting with us about pretty much everything. Next time we're in the area, we're stopping by again.
