Gasthof Lingg - Feldkirch

This is an Italian Restaurant really worth trying. Friendly staff! The Carciofi al forno with a glass of primitivo is a must. As an Italian I would say this restaurant is a small jewel in the midst of Feldkirch!!

We should have known that this restaurant was not the greatest option when we came for the first time beginning December 2014. We ordered a fish dish with mushroom risotto, instead and without pre-warning we got a too long cooked pumpkin risotto that frankly could...not be considered as risotto anymore. OK they did not count one of the two dishes but the damage was done. We came back for the 31st December lacking other options all good options were already fully booked , for the new-year's eve menue. 7 dishes in total without wine 75Euro. It was not worth that money! They announced that the 1st dish was going to be served by 7.30pm, we were there 45 min. in advance to have a first drink, they did not have the idea to give a piece of bread, we had to ask for it. First dish was then served at 7.52pm, 3 sushis, some acceptable time frame later came a soup strange link and then ONE big ravioli stuffed with meat, very delicious but really not enough in quantity. They then brought a sorbet with champagne to make a break before the main dish which was of course not necessary given the fact we were still starving! . The main dish was finally served at 10pm!! Veal meat, very nicely cooked but could have come along with some fresh vegetables instead of 3 different purées potato, pumpkin and peas , we felt like they adapted the dish to the average client +60 years , probably those appreciated the easy to chew dishes. Lousy over-the-table service. Remark: all clients got the same menue so they could have planned the time in a better way. We skipped the second desert since it was 11pm and we were just tired looking at events in this restaurant. When we paid the bill the owner asked how it was, when I said good quality of the food but service too long, she said that you cannot serve 7 dishes in a short time. We spent 4 hours there and were bored, a long time hungry and really not well served. For sure we will not come back nor could recommend this place!

We knew the gasthof lingg from before the takeover and made a stop to lunch on the journey. when we entered the onegan, we were forced to go through more automated, waste; the entrance made a shameful, dirty impression. in the empty dining room we were told that in the summer a terrace was available on the square before (which, however, is nowhere labeled and was located opposite the square in front of a dressing shop. we received the menus there and found the very salted prices that in no way matched to the waiter and the puppy-poor ambiente. the appetizers were a disappointment; almost tasteless tomato and a cream pan with only 5 creams. Although only 5 tables were occupied, we had to wait for more than 50 minutes for the main course and a menu was a wrong delivery. I had to wait 20 more minutes for my proper eating and so we assed. my meat was very good, the appendages were lukewarm and just as fad as eating my food. I read the supplements stand and gave the feed-back to the waiter what he came up with a naughty "that cannot be" ^. for the long waiting period, the wrong delivery and the weak eating there was no excuse, coffee or any other reaction. the guests at the side table took their own food at the safe, as the service was not present in the meantime. in total, this is one of the worst Italians I have ever visited and certainly the one with the most miserable price-performance ratio. this tourist destination is probably worth it only in the short term and I will not visit the gasthof lingg any more as well as our table neighbors and these gave me a tipp where you can eat well in the same road; I'll go to the next paintings.

After a walk through the old town we returned there to eat. at the trips on the map I fell down the kinnlade first, as I thought to have chosen a (priced) normal restaurant. nothing hinted in the gast garden to raised gastronomy.No matter what food was then qualitatiw and tastefully high quality!
