Ishtar Mediterranean Cuisine - Fargo

I come here three times a week; I've known the chef for ten years, starting as a cook at another restaurant, and now he's opened his own, and I'm happy for him. I've traveled all over the world and in the United States, and I've eaten at numerous Mediterranean/Greek restaurants, but he is by far the only one who comes near to or equals my mother's cooking. Ameen (the chef) is a fantastic cook and a kind person.

Ordered the shawarma plate online. It tasted amazing and authentic. I would definitely recommend to go here for Mediterranean food. Also, the staff was more than just professional; they welcomed us in, let us stay in and eat past closing, and tried their best to make it a positive experience. 10/10

I had such a great meal and experience in Ishtar! The whole food was amazing (the falafel sandwich, the hummus and the Dolma) and the hosts were so helpful and friendly. I can't wait to go back. Kinda lets me wish I lived in Fargo!

Grate place for athletic food. Friendly staff and food test great. Loved the variety of food and the options. Highly recommend.

I’m not from Fargo, only here for the weekend, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a Mediterranean restaurant downtown. The food and service here was absolutely top shelf. We split the falafel, beef shawarma, and baba ganoush and each of the dishes was done perfectly. I wish I could bring them back home with me. If you like Mediterranean food you’d be remiss to pass this place up.
