Douro Steakhouse - Fall River

The service was poor, and the food was not good either. Unfortunately, my two visits here have been disappointing.

Anderson was an outstanding server. He was friendly and knowledgeable, making our experience enjoyable. The drinks and food were fantastic. I highly recommend this place!

I had come across an actual advertisement for this restaurant, so I decided to give it a try, and I'm really glad I did. The service was exceptional, the food was excellent, and the prices were just what I expected. Overall, it’s definitely a place I will be returning to.

The first time we went there it was nice. We went there a second time on the 16th and was so disappointed that the entire restaurant smelled like smoke. The cigar bar smoke has now permeated throughout all the floors of the building. No one wants to sit in a restaurant where your eyes are burning from all the smoke in the room. We will never go back.

I ordered the bacalhau assado. Unfortunately it lacked all flavor, which is hard to do with a salted cod dish. The sautéed onions and peppers over the fish were also very bland. The entire dish lacked seasoning and there was no garlic at all. Two of my other companions said the Portuguese Steak was just average. Very few round fries were given and again no garlic. The white rice was bland. My sister ordered the espetada madeirence but she said it was much better the last time she was there. I forget what my other sister ordered but she said it was only average. My sister's boyfriend ordered a pasta/seafood dish and he said it was very good. So one meal out of six was excellent. The food wasn't bad (except for the cod fish) but considering you folks are on the higher priced side it should be better.
