I wish I could remember his name because he was awesome. We purchased a game for a Nintendo Switch and the family membership for the switch and a few other odds and ends, that night. On Christmas we gave the family membership card to our daughter for her switch. This is when we realized the code was supposed to be on the receipt for the membership activation. It was not on the receipt. The day after Christmas I call Target to see if they have any suggestions. I spoke to a person named Michael in electronics. I told him the situation and he said to call Nintendo. I called Nintendo and their website even states for customers to talk to the retail store. When I called back to get help I couldn't get anyone to take my call they would just hang up. I called one last time and got someone. I told him I wanted to speak with the manager he stated that the manager wouldn't be back in until the following day. He kept talking over me and I finally had to raise my voice to get him to leave my number for the manager. He proceeded to tell me this was my issue and No one would be able to help me at Target. I just requested my number be left. He said he would but I did not receive a call. So, he either didn't leave it or his manager decided I wasn't worth his time. I went to Target corporate and they finally assisted me online. I was able to get a resolution 3 days later. I will never go to this target location again. I felt as if my business doesn't matter to them. So, I will either purchase online for Target or use Amazon for my items going forward.
Whoever is in charge of scheduling at this Starbucks needs to do a MUCH better job. It's a Saturday morning of Black Friday weekend. They should expect a large volume of customers, correct? Somehow they only have two people working right now, one of which is CLEARLY new (as in the one girl is actively training the other on how to label cups, what goes in orders, etc. . Literally just waited 20 minutes for an Americano. How about scheduling three people, ESPECIALLY if one of them is new and clueless?? I am from out of town, and from where I come from if you get this horrible of service at a Starbucks they at least apologize and give you one of those free drink vouchers. I get that the girls behind the counter were slammed today, but it doesn't change the fact that I still waited 20 minutes for my coffee, and didn't even get an apology let alone a free coffee voucher. Disappointing Starbucks, to say the least. Looking forward to going back home where Starbucks is done right.
I tell you from the checkout to the pharmacy, The Fairview Heights Target has some of the friendliest people working there. I enjoy the friendly customer service throughout the Target store. I can also say that the Fairview Heights Target is a very clean store. It is easy to find what you need.
The restaurant is clean and easily accessible. However, I strongly advise against ordering online for pickup. I attempted this twice, and both times the website indicated that all items were in stock and available. I received a confirmation email stating the order was ready to be picked up in about two hours. Yet, three hours later, I got another email saying part of my order was ready, but other items were no longer available at that location. It forced me to split my order between this restaurant and a Target several miles away. This resulted in a significant waste of time and extra driving, as well as waiting in line at two different locations. I've learned my lesson—I’ll shop two days in advance, order from Amazon, and have everything delivered to my door through Prime, likely at a better price!
The attendant was immediately to my left, helping an older couple with their coupons or something similar. My light was flashing to signal that I needed assistance, but she continued to assist everyone else instead of coming to me. I finally had to get her attention, and when she did come over, she said she was "just trying to keep up." However, it was clear that wasn't the case, as she promptly went back to attending to others before me. Her comment felt unnecessary, as it was obvious I had been overlooked. To top it off, she forgot to remove the security tag from the bottle I bought. It seemed like everyone else was prioritized, perhaps because they looked more like her.
