The cauliflower is incredible! Seriously, it’s even better than regular rice. I know it sounds crazy, but it really is true! It's a bit pricey, but totally worth it. The chef prepares it fresh, not soggy, and it’s bursting with flavor! This is absolutely the best food spot in Alaska, no contest. The service is friendly, the meals are fresh and served quickly, and the taste is out of this world. Pro tip: mix their salad with your main dish—it adds the perfect crunch. If I lived in Fairbanks, I would eat here at least four times a week!
Spice It Up does not live up to its name. I ordered a chicken dish, and although the restaurant wasn't very busy, it took forever for my food to arrive. The staff member who was preparing my gyro seemed to be moving at a very slow pace. I even had a chance to check on my order in the kitchen, and it still wasn't ready. The food was okay in terms of flavor, but I've had much larger and better-tasting gyros in California. The sauces offered were sparse and not spicy at all. They only serve sodas and bottled water; if you want to try their homemade drinks, you'll have to pay about $7 for a 12oz cup. I wouldn't recommend it unless you enjoy very sweet beverages.
We started our Alaska trip with this little place that appeared in our Google search and I'm so glad we had a try. we were in a hurry and needed something for a quick bite and landed at the right place! ordered chana masala and butter hä. they serve all their curries with rice, sweet, raita and hot sauce. they also offer tasting so that they try before buying. from all, we have tried their butter huhn is absolutely the best! the carry is also quite good so they probably get more than what they pay. I will mention something, however, neither the chana masala nor the butter hae are authentic (there are no authentic Indian food in alaska at all) but the overall taste with the rice, sweet and sauces make it really taste good! we liked it so much that we went one more time on the way back. overall a pretty good restaurant.
I got the lamb it was amazing very good. The bread tortilla that it was wrapped in was so soft and chewy. The naan bread is harder and thin but good still! The somosas we're also super good bigger than I'm used to. People are very nice.
