Been going there for years and never had a bad thing to say about the place. The owner is friendly and the place is always clean. The portion size is great as well, a large portion of chips easily feeds me and my son and the batter on the fish is fluffy and not to greasy like other chip shops I've been to. My only complaint is not enough salt and viniger on my food, but thats just down to personal preference. Over all I rate them 5* and would recommend them anyone wanting a quick and tasty meal.
The menu offers a limited selection, but the cadjau was incredibly fresh and delicious. The batter was thin and crispy, just the way I like it. The chips were bright golden and fried in fresh oil. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were very competitive. Please note, they only accept cash and do not take credit cards.
My mother took me to this chip shop years ago when we visited my grandmother, and I'm not sure if the same people still run it, but it was still fantastic! I wasn’t disappointed when I returned with my mother for dinner; it was delicious and unmistakable. Coming from London, I expected the prices to be similar, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much cheaper it was! You really get a great bargain for such a delicious meal!
This is my go-to fish and chip shop since I live on Buller Street. I've been a customer for many years, even though it has had various owners over time. I can't complain about their fish and chips or the prices; they always serve generous portions. The service is very efficient as well. I highly recommend trying the battered sausages— they're fantastic!
