Like many chain restaurants, the vegetarian options on the menu are rather limited and somewhat uninspiring. However, the staff was kind enough to suggest alternative choices for us. One important tip to keep in mind is to specifically request that your fries are not seasoned if you prefer them without too much salt.
Café Rouge is an authentic French café and restaurant that truly captures a charming 1950s retro vibe. Upon entering, it feels like you've been transported to the heart of France. I ordered the Rouge burger with frites. My friend really enjoyed it, but I wasn't a fan of the Dijon mustard and mayo combination; I would have preferred just plain mayonnaise. The burger itself was very tasty. We also ordered a bread basket, and I absolutely loved the chili hummus that accompanied it—quite delightful! The drinks are reasonably priced; we had a bottle of rosé for just £25. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up getting another one for under £5!
This is a lovely restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere that truly captures a French vibe. The food was delicious—starting with the French onion soup, followed by moules. My only downside was the price of the wine; while I would say the quality was good, it didn’t quite fit my lunch budget. However, the beer was nice!
During this lunchtime was unusually busy with only two employees and there was a waiting for service; they worked out their socks and still remained very good service and both very warm and friendly in their approach for customers. well made for clear a printable lunch service with only two employees. well made to the two who work today. Eat and drink were also delicious with the afternoon tea and an additional cappuccino and got chocolate between us. yum!
Very nice food with good service. Definitely give it a try.
