フィードバックを提供するCame here on a Friday night. The dining area had plenty of space, but of course the bar was packed. Live band they had was amazing. Great music. Our server was absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and helped us to steer some good entrees when I was undecided. We started mushrooms filled with crabs. They were excellent not to chew or salty. Well balanced. My mother got the seafood fradiavolo with white wine sauce and she thought it was divine. Our server suggested I try the stuffed pork chop special and boy was right! Huge, beautiful sea-red pork stall filled with spinach, ham and cheese. The sauce was really delicious and the pork chop was cooked for perfection. Next time I'm in town, we'll stop here again. I need to support such small local gems.
Came for Happy Hour beverages. Quiet and peaceful bar atmosphere where you can actually make conversation with each other. Seems to be a real locals kind of place, as I saw many people greet each other as they arrived. Very casual and friendly older crowd. I saw food come out of the kitchen and it both looked and smelled good! Freddie 's has been there for ages and is still going strong, it seens.
The food here is fantastic! Bud and Vinny have really made this place special. I will definitely come back and recommend it to my friends and family. Well done, guys!
The food was definitely the highlight of the evening. The menu offered a wide variety of options, but there seemed to be too few staff members for a Friday night. We experienced a long wait for cocktail service, and it was frustrating to see a bottle of wine sitting unattended on a table nearby. Although the glassware wasn't clean at first, the issue was promptly resolved. The food was enjoyable, though not exceptional, and it was served quickly. However, we had to wait almost 30 minutes for our main dishes while we listened to the live band. Overall, the service and supervision were disappointingly subpar.
I had a fantastic dining experience with delicious food at reasonable prices and excellent service. I ordered a tomato cake topped with onions and green peppers. To my surprise, it tasted more like a pizza than a traditional cake, but it was absolutely delightful. Pairing it with a cold Stella Artois left me completely satisfied. The portion sizes are generous, so I ended up taking half of the cake home for lunch the next day, and it was just as tasty. I've visited this restaurant before, and my only complaint was that the ravioli was a bit overcooked. Their house wine is also superb. I'm not sure exactly when Freddie opened, but I do know that my parents and their friends used to dine there in the '40s and '50s when they were dating. It’s clear that you must serve great food to have lasted this long!
