Butter Spice (previously Mahal Indian Cuisine)

Ordered online and someone from the restaurant called to confirm my dairy and peanut allergies. They told me the naan would not be okay for me but the rest of my order was totally safe. The food hasn't arrived yet but I really appreciate the call and it potentially saved my life!!

First of all, this restaurant was fantastic! We were warmly welcomed by the staff as soon as we arrived. The service was excellent throughout our visit. The food was bursting with flavor and portions were generous. The appetizer was unique yet delicious. My wife ordered the Butter Lamb Curry, which was perfect without any spiciness, just as she desired. I enjoyed the Lamb Tikka Marsala, which had a nice kick to it. The Garlic Naan was amazing too. We decided to try a dessert that was a little outside our usual choices, and the Gulab Jamun did not disappoint—it was very tasty. This cozy, unpretentious restaurant serves some of the finest Pakistani and Indian cuisine I've experienced in Washington. The meat is Halal, and they even have a small kids' menu! A group of six of us dined there and tried seven dishes, along with an appetizer and dessert. The food is authentic and incredibly delicious. They also provide options for spiciness levels: mild, medium, and hot. I can't wait to return!

The food was absolutely delicious, and I will definitely return. I ordered the Mushroom Masala, which was incredible and packed with flavor. The samosas are likely the best I've ever tasted. Our server was very polite, and the staff appeared to be very hardworking. I highly recommend this place—11/10!
