I chose Shirley's because I knew she had never been there and I hadn't been there since the ownership changed hands. What a wonderful surprise! The place was super clean, our food came extremely fast, and was piping hot (I am a stickler for my food being served hot or I will send back) and our server was pleasant and very attentive to our time there. From where we sat we were able to see the staff in the kitchen and it was clear they were working so hard! I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a locally owned place to have a wonderful breakfast or lunch!
Very small diner with a quaint vibe. The food was phenomenal, like it was straight out of your grandmother's kitchen. Everything was prepared exactly as expected. Not a huge menu, just a page of old fashion breakfast staples. The biscuits and gravy are highly recommended. If I'm ever in the area again I'll make it a point to stop here.
Sat in the lobby for 20 mins making eye contact with the sever with plenty of open tables, they seated a family that came in 10 minutes after us first and never sat us, we waited 30 mins ridiculous
We didn't have the chance to eat here. We arrived at 1:37 and told they were closed when their posted close time is 2. Was frustrated to have driven out of our way to be turned away. I'm sure the food would have been good based on other reviews.
The feeling of being at a hometown restaurant is an understatement it’s like being in Mamas house the atmosphere and the beautiful personalities each time we visited was always welcoming
