Valentina - Encinitas

We arrived an hour early for our reservation, so it was understandable that our table was still occupied. However, there was outdoor seating available, which suited us perfectly. Having visited Spain earlier this year, we really missed the incredible food. The tapas here were outstanding—every single one of them. Our server offered great suggestions, all of which were excellent choices. We will definitely return the next time we are in San Diego!

Im from Spain and I can say those croquetas were like my grandma’s croquetas! And the basque desert was amazing

Valentina is a local gem with fantastic food and great service. From fresh fish dishes to the Pork Schnitzel, one of my favorites, you really can't go wrong. I do recommend making a reservation as the place does fill up.

The yellowtail ceviche was outstanding. The pork schnitzel was a little tough but had great flavor-mustard and capers.
