El Patron Mexican Resturant - Elyria

Have been coming to this restaurant for years. The changes these owners have made are incredible. In the past 3 years they've improved the food, made a new bar, and changed the whole atmosphere of the restaurant. Staff is incredibly friendly and I never leave unhappy. Always a great time here! Be sure to try their fresh squeezed margaritas!

My whole family loves this place. Their service has always been great as are the beans and salsa. You can't beat the prices and portions either.

Eating is amazing, but our server gave us a cold shoulder for some reason. She was nice when she took the order, but then just brought us our food, went away and told us nothing else. She just put our check down and went away without saying anything. I will definitely be back, but I will be asked to sit out of their section.

I've reviewed this restaurant before and have always been enthusiastic about it. However, I'm not sure what's happening with the new management over the past few months because the food quality has declined, and the service has been terrible on my last few visits. The waitstaff seem unmotivated and often disappear for long stretches; it took them 15 minutes just to take my drink order and then they vanished for another 20 minutes. This isn’t just slow; it’s unacceptable. I hope the management pays attention to this feedback and makes some improvements, as this used to be one of my favorite spots, but now I’d rather dine elsewhere. Additionally, the prices are higher than comparable local Mexican restaurants, making it hard to justify coming back.

I've visited this restaurant multiple times and have consistently enjoyed excellent service and delicious food. I highly recommend the Durango burrito—it’s truly fantastic! The service has been slow only once, and that was during a busy period, so it’s understandable. The prices are great, the waitstaff is friendly, and the drinks are generous! I love this place—keep up the good work! For two people, you’ll spend under $40, making it very affordable!
