La Pagode D'or - Elsene

La pagode isn't one of those typical viet-thais you're drowning in around the Cimetre d'Ixelles. This is a real Vietnamese and a good one. Fris decor, surprising and less surprising dishes, but all cracking fresh. I'm mostly fond of the stengels of sugar wrapped with shrimp.

Excellent food, do not let yourself be dechanted because of the server (not bad but very particular). I didn't find a better place for chicken legs, rice pancakes, steam ribs, and rice pasta that I highly recommend. An incalculable number of visits for more than 10 years

Four stars because the excellent price quality ratio is not a legend. The map is very extensive, and more complete than that of other similar establishments in the immediate vicinity. Let's rest assured: the dishes are well prepared on site. This is a restaurant! Good wine, including the boss's. The server looks a little bit dry, but just stay courteous and kind to develop a very correct relationship. Question decorum: a little raw and not very intimate... but it passes.

A four star because the meal is of excellent quality, a high quality ratio that defies any competition. The only hic, the welcome, it is true that the boss is not at first very warm, seeing even quite cold, it must be said that tonight he was alone at the service and there was a lot of people but that doesn't excuse everything. It was a bit 'easy' at the end of the evening. It's a shame because for the rest everything is perfect!

Let yourself be tempted by unspoiled dishes in other Asian restaurants such as **** rice pasta (and black beans)... a treat, I've been there for years only for this dish! Just a shame that the service can be improved and that the dishes are not quite copied to my taste.
