Finger Lakes House - Elmira

Seems very kid-friendly. Which is not what I’m looking for in a tap house, strangely. Not somewhere to go if you want to have a quiet time. Lots of children everywhere, even though it was during a weekday. Was forced out by some rowdy and misbehaved kids. Did not enjoy my time unfortunately. Great atmosphere, nice view, big variety! Sit on the deck!! Menu is good too! Great for a date night or to meet up with friends.

This is a great spot for beer and wine from the finger lakes region, however, the food has gone down in quality since they first opened. The ingredients for some of my favorite dishes have changed the beef on the beef fajita flatbread was tough and gray rather than juicy and tender like it used to be. The corn dip and spinach and artichoke dips are mostly creamy cheesy dips rather than full of corn or artichoke like they used to be. I’m sure I will find other menu items I will like better but it was disappointing to see the food go from delicious to mediocre and borderline unappetizing. I will be back to enjoy the outdoor seating but will be ordering something else to eat next time. Food: 1 star, Drink selection and atmosphere: 5 stars

We ate here with family over the holidays as it was the only place we could find with outdoor seating. With Omicron, we did not feel safe eating inside with elderly parents. The owner was friendly and the food was amazing. Everyone was really pleased with what the ordered and the food came out quickly.

This is the charming neighbourhood tavern . eating is fantastic and there is a lot of local beer and wine. the interieur is warm and welcoming.
