The Mint Room is a beautiful place. This was my fourth visit since I noticed it in mid-2018. This review is my honest review of my visit of 16th. March 2019. My wife and I arrived a little before our reservation of 8:15. The restaurant was full and the bar area was empty. There was no one in the greeting station. I made contact with at least 3 employees, but none of them seemed to take any action to know that we are unattended. After a while, a host came from behind and greeted us politely. She ran back to check where she put us and then we were happy and brought us to our table. Karl, the manager, came pretty soon after we sit to welcome us and take our order. We were not ready to order, but I ordered a tea. The tea was delivered quickly. There was a time passed before Karl came back to take our order. My wife asked if she could have Tandoori Shrimp, who was not on the menu and Karl was obligated. I ordered the tomato soup and a starter size Tandoori Chicken as my entree. The bar side of the restaurant looked scary with the stacked plates and other objects in a simple view. But the dining page was good. Our meal came after a reasonable time and it was delicious. I joked with Karl that I didn't like my soup when he took my empty bowl away. I went to the bathroom and found it unattended and dirty. I was disappointed. The back area was split and an eye wound for customers. We refused Dessert, but I ordered another tea. I was pleasantly surprised when the bill came and not noticed my two teas. The amount was fair. The Mint Room has great potential to its competitors by improving the entire experience it offers to its customers. I rated our experience as good. It should be excellent in my humble opinion.
This is the jewel of Indian food in the area of Catonsville/Ellicott City. The food is thoroughly excellent, the ambience is excellent and the servers warm and attentive. We continue to bring new friends who like Indian food to this restaurant and all agree that it is wonderful! They react to prepare food to the degree of spiciness that every diner desires. What a find!
Mint room was great, but this open table service didn't work at all. You had no idea we had a reservation. Not sure which end was the problem, but open table didn't work for me.
Chef's Biryani was terrific and best of all was the appetizer called Mint Raj Kachori. Onion Naan had plenty of onions. Nice atmosphere, very helpful wait staff. Highly recommend.
