Whiskey Joe's Manatee River - Ellenton

The service was extremely slow, and the restaurant wasn't even busy. The waiter appeared distracted, as if he was a bit out of it; his phone was ringing, and he struggled to get our order right. We ordered two vodka mixed drinks—one was so strong it was almost undrinkable, while the other barely had any flavor at all. Unfortunately, none of our food was very good either. I doubt I’ll be returning.

The sound of the bridge was quite distracting. overall the food, service and parking space were great. management has to print some new menus as many of them were so old that they could not read what the article was on the menu. so diew4 star evaluation.

The dining experience and atmosphere were excellent. Eating on the outdoor deck made us feel like we were on a mini vacation. However, the highlight of our experience was our server, Quinn! While we were enjoying our meal al fresco, it began to rain, and Quinn expertly transitioned our table to an interior setting without missing a beat, all while still attending to their other tables. Quinn also provided great recommendations on the menu and ensured that all our substitutions were communicated to the kitchen flawlessly!

I ordered the ribs and they were fantastic! However two of the others in our party ordered the mahi mahi tacos at our server's recommendation, and they were very disappointing. Both plates served had almost no mahi mahi in any of the tacos (maybe 1-2 small pieces of fish in each taco). We would not recommend the tacos again.

We dined outside, which kept the noise to a minimum and provided a fantastic view. Our waitress was attentive and professional. We all ordered fish or shrimp tacos, which were delicious and perfect for an early dinner after a hearty lunch at home.
