Thalassa - Ελλάδα

The Thalassa was only our second choice in the evening because our chosen taverna was unfortunately full. But here too, at around 7 p.m., 3/4 of the tables were already reserved or were no longer available. Of course everyone has a direct view of the water. By the way, the view here is really beautiful! The food wasn't bad, but I still felt it lacked a kick, that certain something extra. I also didn't get the typical tavern feeling, but rather felt like I was in a trendy beach restaurant. I've been to a few taverns in my life and appreciate the hospitality and authentic food, which I also missed here. Again, the food wasn't bad per se it was tasty but it wasn't enough for 4 or 5 stars. As an example: The children's meal (meatballs with fries) came dry, which means without any sauce. Neither the meat nor the fries (which are no different in GR). But where can you get Keftedes “fart dry”? There was no water on the house as we know it, no bread on the table (which of course is paid for in the end). For the Tzatziki nothing. The salad (Corfu salad) is advertised as having apples and a great dressing. The apples were simply cut into large pieces and placed on the edge, and the dressing was added drop by drop on top of the green salad. The Stifado, which was very tasty, only consisted of two pieces of meat and around 8 onions. That just doesn't fit. For one of my most expensive meals in Corfu, it was unfortunately also the “worst” for me and us, or let’s say with the most inconsistent price/performance ratio. So if you're looking for a quaint, authentic taverna, this isn't the right place for you. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

This is the best place in Agios Gordios. During the day, you can enjoy a cocktail in their lounge chairs or a dinner with stunning sunset. Everything was good: Pitas, salads, fish and deserts. And service. And wine! Love this place! And come back to Corfu for the next time.

We have eaten two meals here so far and plan to go back, which says much given the number of places to try here. All seafood is fresh and you can taste it. View and service are amazing. We had the Pitas for lunch, Greek salad, grilled seabass, shrimp pasta and chocolate cake. Wine and mixed drinks are also great!

We ate in many restaurants during two days of our visit to Agios Gordios. And then we visit this restaurant Thalassa, which is located directly on the beach. Incredible food, exquisite appearance, wonderful and helpful staff. The rest of our visit, we only ate in this restaurant Thalassa. Large breakfast with fresh juices, Greek coffee, omelet with cheese, hot bread, homemade jam, butter, fresh Mediterranean fragrance and incredible sea views! Prices, portion size, taste of dishes are excellent! We love this restaurant! And deck chairs are free when you order food in the restaurant. But you need to reserve table and loungers in advance!
