Elk River Brewing Company is exactly what I expect of a small local brewery. There's a welcoming ambience, a good selection of brews including local ingredients, and good people with whom to chat. I will personally recommend their Elktober Festbier Marzen, Bohemia Belgian Golden Ale, Port Herman Hefeweizen, and Octoraro Red Ale. The bartender was the head brewer and was a cool dude that was clearly proud of what he produced. The quality of the finished product backs that up, too. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Seemed like a cute spot, but we were turned away becsue we had our son with us. I just wanted to make other parents aware, as I didn't see it marked on Google or the website. Perhaps that is true of everything in the area, but if you happen too be passing threw. Heads up.

Great tasting stout and like the local feel of brewery. BUT definitely overcharged for the 2 drafts and a four pack we bought. $41 bucks is steep!
