White Pearl - Elgin

Restaurant is dirty both inside and out. Green onion, I’m assuming for some of the dishes made inside are grown outside. Not a big deal but they’re within easy access to the public. Greeted right away with a very friendly young man behind the counter. No issues with service. Egg rolls, were more spring roll. Good flavor but very oily. Also order the pad Thai. Blah flavor with chicken that looked suspect. Order was huge which was a plus. Had flavor been better Sara would’ve been better. Will avoid this place in the future.

Definitely recommend if you want Thai. To me, it’s a different style of Thai. The Pad Thai is very tasty and not “ketchupy” like some places. Lardna is my favorite. Will definitely be coming back. I actually forgot about this place. Think the last time I ate here was 10yrs ago(?? or possibly more. Will order Pho next time

Egg roll- fantastic Chicken Pho- broth very little flavor, chicken had zero flavor and the noodles were a bit over cooked. I tried, but couldn’t eat it. I’ve tried about 15 places and pho in America doesn’t compare to Vietnam, but it’s still good. Not here. So disappointed. $14 Egg drop soup- limited flavor with a weird aftertaste. Couldn’t eat it.

Delicious, authentic food! My Chicken Pad Thai was the perfect texture, right balance of noodle and protein, and the sauce was just how I like it, deliciously sweet with a hint of sour. The dish was so flavorful and textured, and my mouth filled with saliva as I watched it cool. I felt welcome immediately and the staff was extremely friendly and professional. The atmosphere was very cool, I loved the decorations! I definitely recommend going here. The prices are very reasonable as well.

Came here one time , and made order soup with pork, it’s been water with little bit pork, don’t taste at all!!! Very bad , no recommend!!
