Went here for happy hour on Friday with some friends, we got some drinks and a few appetizers to munch on. It was pretty quiet while we were there from about 5-7 and I have to say my favorite things from the menu were the fried green beans and tater tots. I am not a fan of tater tots but these guys have brought me to the dark side. They were light crispy and super good. I had a Moscow mule after they were out of a lot of their beers. Everything was pretty inexpensive and it was a good overall experience. I was in shock (in a good way) when our bill came to 30 dollars for 3 drinks, some sodas, and food. I would say they're a good little dive bar for El Sobrante.
Good local sports bar with plenty of TVs to watch the games comfortably.
Wake up, buddy—just because you own the place doesn’t give you the right to treat others however you please. If we were in a different setting, I would handle things quite differently, and we’d probably end up having a real conversation. It’s a shame because this place has so much potential; it feels like he must have been bullied as a kid or something. I overheard him say he’s been in the bar industry for 15 years, but I think he just bought a bar and thinks that makes him cool. On a brighter note, the bartender, Paulie, was great, and the server, Franchesca, was also wonderful. It’s just disappointing to see people get mistreated or made fun of by those who feel they have power over others because of their jobs or status.
This is a fantastic little spot! The food is delicious, the drinks are excellent, and the atmosphere is incredible. I visited during Cinco de Drinko, met some locals, and had a great time.
