Jackson's - El Segundo

Our visit to Jackson was wonderful. The food was outstanding, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. However, I noticed that the noise level in the restaurant increased significantly as it became busier. We were seated on the terrace, which was relatively quiet and conducive to conversation upon our arrival. But by the time we were enjoying our meal, the space was full, and the noise level made it difficult to have a simple conversation. This is merely a matter of design, so I mention it not as a complaint but as a heads-up for anyone seeking a quiet dining experience. My only real criticism pertains to their wine prices and the serving sizes — the cost of wine by the glass seems disproportionate to the amount served. It might be more worthwhile to bring your own wine rather than order from their list.

We won't be returning. The lack of attention and slow service, along with the food presented in a box and the absence of atmosphere, far outweigh any reasons to come back.

Jacksons did not reserve the table we requested nor gave us a call to say it was already reserved. We came in and asked if they had reserved that table, and the hostess couldn't confirm. It seems like they just forgot about our request. Also, they were very very rude and unprofessional. Never again.
