All four of us had the trout which was extremely fresh (from the trout farm just across the road from the bar) and cooked beautifully. A simple lunch of salad, trout and home cooked dessert enhanced by the friendly and efficient waiter perfect.

When I get to the woods, even before passing through any building, there is a magnificent left-hand hotel that I will soon think of as a pass in full nature. next to it is born a path, asphalted of stones, which leads to one of the key points of the city. First a youth camp, next to a river of little depth that is called majaceite here, but that in other stages receives other names, a trail of about 4 km next to that river has to reach benamahoma and a freshwater fish farm where the best trouts that have never tasted are lifted. ah!, and a small sale with a wonderful terrace and has the service of the products of the best quality possible. I have known her for several decades because she used to take school buses to the youth camp in summer and because, sometimes, she was walking the road, always crowded, in a forest of willows and remains of old mills and textile factories. it is probably the best way in the province of Cadiz. and, almost always, sat on the terrace of the majaceite refreshing the heat and tasting some of the specialties. Even when I was going to buy trouts on the fish farm, I stopped at the bar for a while for the pretty part of the place. Your star dish is the trout. fresh, fresh, he takes them two steps and catch them alive. before they always served it with some slices of serrano ham on top, it's the most remarkable, but times have changed, now they ask you how you want to be cooked. the trout is a soft meat and with little consistency as fish which is, therefore, after removing the guts, it is convenient to put in some element that offers them hardness. a navarre is served with vegetable garrison but the most tasty, for me, is the one that passes through the panceta plate because the fats are incorporated into the fish meat and make it more tasty and resistant. others enter this sale called majaceite bar in search of deer meat, as we call here any herbivore who lives in freedom, either a tie, gamo or deer. it is the meat, well cooked, better that exists although the small hunt, abundant also in the area does not go to the lap. In short, this bar has very high quality products, although prices have always been up to those expectations. If you want to try the quality I recommend you but I ask you first to do it. and it is not exaggerating, last Saturday two salads with trout and a tray of deer, desserts and drinks, 35 euros. quality yes, but you pay. If you can pay this is your place in the woods.
Beautiful, you go all the time by the river, by nature and it is a very easy way, you go with children, to walk or even sit on the shore and read a good book, I loved it. I did it 5 times, from benamahoma and from the forest, got me a lot more to start from the forest, the entrance to the road that is next to the fish farm, you have to visit it yes or yes.
Prices too high, taking advantage of being at the beginning or at the end of the route. still, good place to rest before visiting the rest of the city.
