What a great little gem of a place. 5 of us had a great breakfast. Highly recommend it. The boys from Illinois.

1.14.2023 My first visit to the Effie Cafe. After reading reviews, I took my dad for brunch. He lives 20 miles from here. Our server, Jessica, who is the owner as of this past year, recommended the biscuits and gravy, as well as the French Toast. I had to try them both with the plan of taking some home. Dad had over easy eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. While we waited we noticed the fresh paint and new fresh look. Jessica stopped by to answer our questions. She is very pleasant and a nice chat. It was clear the new owner was giving the place a new look which she did an excellent job. Our wait was short and the food arrived hot. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. The French toast was the best I've had. Dad really enjoyed his choice too. The price for all of this was under $22. I paid $30 and left the rest as a tip. She earned it. Parking: Plenty of parking available.
