Steels Cafe and Grill - Edmonton

Steels is always a great choice for a restaurant in Leduc. We stay at the Executive Royal and have had the opportunity to eat many times at Steels. Their staff are terrific and the food quality is exceptional with very good portions. The vegetables are always very nicely prepared, salmon is always moist, great quality meats and good selections for breakfast options.

My husband and I went to Steels Cafe today for brunch for the first time, and the last. My husband had to track down a waiter just to get a cup of coffee. That was the only time we had service - if you can call it that. No one bothered to take our plates, so I put them on a empty table. We didn't even get a bill, so we went to the till. After 5 minutes, we tracked a waiter down only to be told "he'd get someone". We could have walked out without paying but we are not those type of people. Then, when someone finally came to the till, I was asked if I was a senior! I'm a young 49 year old - another waiter came by only to confirm that they offer a discount to those 55 years old and up. I have never been so insulted. The food was average and the service was non-existent. I would not recommend this place...ever!

Horrible service takes too long to get drinks and way too long for food to get to table waited over 40 minutes for food order not impressed at all

The food was great!! Our server was very friendly, she gave us suggestions to help my husband decide what to order. It was nice to have the restaurant attached to the hotel we were doing a motorcycle run through the mountains and Edmonton was our last stop before we headed back home and we didn't want to "go out" it was nice to clean up and go down the end of the isle to have supper. The prices were great!!

My aunt and I like brunch buffets and are always looking for a new one to try out and this was our Easter treat to ourselves. The food was very good but the breakfast items were pretty standard. I don't know about the lunch items because it was 10:00AM and I didn't feel like tacos. The omelette station looked good and the one thing I like about brunch is that I can have chocolate cake for breakfast. And chocolate mousse. I couldn't sample anything else because there was a strawberry smack dab in the middle of every dessert and I'm allergic to strawberry (no I can not just pick it off.) Service was good fruit punch was good. Just a bit too pricey.There is a private-ish room off to the side too so if someone has a special occasion or business meeting it looks like they're very able to accommodate.
