Elegant Court Restaurant - Edmonton

First time eating hereRestaurant has been here for years Great foodThe Satay beef was EXCELLENT, very good kung pow ckicen.

I ate here a few years ago and found the buffet sorely lacking.

I used to always order elegant court during lunch breaks with coworkers and we absolutely loved it! They would always throw in free spring rolls for us,

The reason I gave this restaurant a 4 and not a 5 is because of the decor. This place does look like a diner and is certainly dated and definitely not the prettiest looking spot. That being said I believe their money goes into the quality of their food vs updating their looks. However looks can be deceiving, I would recommend trying this place.The lady who works here I am going to assume is the owner/ partial owner is truly a gem. She is so passionate about what she does and is really invested in making her customers happy. She wants to ensure you enjoy the food and are completely satisfied before you leave. Every time I have been in she is smiling and friendly.I have had a variety of dishes: Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Shrimp & Mixed Greens, Shrimp & Broccoli, Curry Beef, Beef & Broccoli, Ginger beef, Chicken Fried Rice, Green Onion Cakes, Chicken & Mushroom Dish, Spring rolls, Deep Fried Won Tongs & Won Tong soup All very good. The one dish I have tried there that I did not care for was their Chicken Chow Mein ( Hey can't win them all ). Large portions, lots of meat. I've been to many Chinese restaurants where they have used cheap fillers ( Ex. An entire onion ) and skimp out on meat, this place doesn't. I think its important to add that the quality of their meat (beef & shrimp) are very good. Almost forgot! I have dietary issues and she has always been super accommodating to meet my needs.If you have some time at lunch or want a meal to bring home this place will definitely hit the spot.

The restaurant is a very quaint little restaurant. Inside it looks very much like a café with not too much decorations. But that is not what is important to me.To me, the quality of the food is the most important thing about a restaurant.And the food here is fantastic. Easily the best Chinese food I've had in Edmonton. The vegetables are all fresh. The food is cooked well. There is no MSG which is a very big thing for me and my family.
