Earls South Edmonton Commons

We stopped going there over a year ago because of all the changes and service had gone down. This time The food was good expect my ribs where not hot only warm. The service was not 100% but it was okay. Had to ask for drinks from another because our server looked a bit overwhelmed by other tables. I'm not sure that we are completely set on going back but it seems a bit better than before.

I get it... I used to serve... things get crazy and you can't always give the best service. But this was wayyyyyyy beyond that. My friends and I stopped in for some quick eats and the service was awful. We waited and waited for everything ... drink? Wait. Food? Wait. Sauces we ordered? Wait. Cutlery? Wait.... anyways you get the picture. Left very disappointed.

Be in edm for 11 years and dont even live that far from this location but have never been here until last night. Went with my wife for my 41st bday, I thought the staff was very good and helpful; Pearl seemed to be an above average employee who generally cared about our experience and my food allergies. The front door staff werent very bright which was a disappointment but what can ya do; we were glad we made reservations though as it seemed every busy. We enjoyed the atmosphere, decor and all around environment, there weren't alot of GF options but what we did figure was delicious which was korean hot wings and fish tacos. The lack of scotch whisky options, especially double barrel was disappointing as well as they had none and we didn't find the drink menu that big for a restaurant of this category. We thought that the prices were reasonable and would definitely go back for supper again.

Earls has always been my favorite to go to casual restaurant. It never fails. Food and service are always usually excellent. Had the chance to dine again last night. As always, service was great, but I was so so disappointed to discover my favorite salad, the warm kale salad is off the menu.. but I have been assured it will be back. There are so many options, and I've always been satisfied with whatever I've chosen in the past... except the last time I ordered chilli chicken, it didn't taste right. The sauce tasted like a watery ketchup. It was actually gross. I thought it was my taste buds since we had hot wings for an appetizer. So I decided to give it another try without the hot wings. The sauce didn't taste as bad as last time but it has definitely changed in the past year, and not for the better. Please bring back the original chilli chicken recipe!!

We were there early so service was very fast. Our server Devin was pleasant and prompt. He explained all our choices very well. There were several in our party. Some enjoyed the fish tacos. I especially loved the fig Brie chicken with yam fries. My husband liked the fish and chips. I would recommend this restaurant and would enjoy going there again when in Edmonton.
