DeDutch Pannekoek House - Edmonton

While visiting Edmonton, we make a point of visiting here for breakfast. The menu meets our needs and we enjoy the service. The coffee is always flowing! We have a few faves on the menu so we always go with them. Food is good and reasonably price. Next time in Edmonton, we'll be there.

Really enjoyed our Boer's breakfast. The eggs and pannoken were geat, loved the bratwurst as well. The decor of the place was great and welcoming.

Where do I start? Between the wet seats when we sat down, the highly unenthusiastic staff, the 1 hour wait for food for it only to be undercooked an inedible I’m not sure I have anything nice to relay about this experience! Yes we did tell the wait staff that the food wasn’t cooked and was cold (hasbrowns) and they offered to bring more which we accepted as a solution, only after waiting a further half hour for the replacements the rest of our food was either cold or eaten so we decided to cancel the ‘solution’. Staff DID NOT offer to reduce our bill even though 3 out of the 4 of us only had half a meal! Never again!

The Canuck French Toast was tasteless, egg wash and bread. It was unfortunate that one did not add vanilla or something for flavour. The kids had the sweet Pannekoeken with chocolate hail and strawberries and it was cold by the time we got it and at 18 dollars a plate it was very disappointing. The waitress was not friendly as she handed me the 70 dollar bill for breakfast 32 dollars for two crepe-like ****) It was too bad cause we have eaten at this location and other locations in British Columbia and it was very good.

Went there twice on a 5 day holiday. Recommend reservations. Friendly and awesome staff particularly Kelly who we had as our server both times. Highly recommend the mediterranean omelette and of course the specialty the dutch styled pancake an amazing pancake smothered in whipped cream, chocolate sauce and strawberries. Lots of other options for the pancake as well. Very happy to get a decaf coffee! Coffee was bottomless! Eggs are cage free eggs.
