We've been spending part time in Edmonds and have had great dinners in the downtown restaurants. We drove just a short distance east to Bucatini and it was well worth the drive. We sat outside on a perfect night in a shaded area. The service was perfect as was the food. We started with the garlic bread, split a small Caesar salad, lasagna the ribeye/pasta (both easily enough for 2 meals) and cheesecake with raspberries were outstanding. Highly recommend
It feels like one of the last great neighborhood joints is still going strong, but, thankfully, there are still plenty of other great neighborhood joints. You can't escape that feeling here, though--so friendly, packed during peak times, people rubbing elbows indoors and out on the patio. Good cocktails, amazing values on the wine list, and awesome hearty Italian cooking. Scratch-made Caesar salad, sandwiches that can feed 3-4 people, fantastic pasta dishes going many different directions across the menu. The specials are really where it's at here. The bread they bring out for the table is fresh and excellent.
The food was amazing including dessert. My only complaint was parking is a little tight
Service started out strong but tapered off a little. Busing staff was excellent. The chicken parm grinders were very popular with three in my party. Caesar salad was excellent, but the Bolognese sauce was odd. Huge chunks of pot-roast-like meat, whole cloves of garlic, unremoved bay leaf, had to add marinara to make less dry (appreciated suggestion from the server), which should not be necessary. Unappealing dish and disappointing for $24.50.
