Skylark Fine Diner Lounge - Edison

The Skylark Diner has a retro interior design that with several different sections to the diner. Once you go inside the restaurant, on the right is a bar area, but the left has a more group- and family-friendly seating area. Additionally, there is a long counter with stools that is reminiscent of classic dining cars. Once my group of 5 was seated, we were promptly seated and orders taken. The menu itself had an abundance of options. If you're looking for conventional diner meals, the menu has all the regular breakfast, sandwich and burger options that you might expect. In each of these categories there are twists that mix in other cuisine types. I got the Halal Lamb Burger which tasted incredible. The options on the menu are pretty flexible if you're looking for something a little bit different or outside your comfort zone.

The Skylark diner is something that can catch someone's eye from both ways on route one. It is a diner reimagined from the outside and inside. I felt that I went back in time but also was seated in something way more unique than a regular diner. When you walk in the high ceilings catch your eye and can see that the inside build is for many many people, compared to tradition diners. The time and date I went there was no rush and so i was able to get seated quickly and the food came out shortly after we ordered. I had gotten the cinnamon apple crepe, which came with a side of whip crème. The food was good the crepe was warm which meant it was fresh and it was not overly sweet. Our waiter was nice and attended all our questions and needs. I saw that they had a lot of staff waiting that day which was nice to see how busy it gets.

Coffee was good , food was ok. A little disappointed in flavors. Looked great, taste just ok. Portions are large. Very busy large diner.

Menu and food was delicious, it was a very busy time day so the waitress service was okay. Definitely not terrible. Great selection. The atmosphere was on point.

A great diner! I'd give it a 5/5 for what you can expect from a small local business. I went for breakfast, and the food was quite good! Our waitress was very friendly, and we were seated quickly. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
