Project Coffee - Edinburgh

The best breakfast place on Bruntsfield! Tasty food in a reasonable price, sandwich was soo big, enough for a breakfast. The tea is loose leaf which is great, interior is beautiful! Can be busy, but I guess it means not only me likes this place. From my experience you will find a spot for person or two even in the busiest times. Also I appreciate that they open early. There are other nice cafes on this street but most of them won’t open before 9am which is a shame. Good for you Project Coffee!

We would like to thank the very kind customers and staff who came to the assistance of my Mother in Law yesterday who took a tumble on the street outside the Cafe we are all very grateful to lovely customer Sam who called me and gentleman that sat with her until we arrived. Shes had a few stitches but otherwise fine! That you all so very much for your kindness.

There’s something uniquely enjoyable about being able to savor breakfast items all day long, and Project Coffee does just that. They also have an excellent selection of vegetarian options. It’s not often that a meal at a restaurant inspires me to recreate it at home, but I can't stop thinking about the delicious breakfast fritters I had. The carrot and coriander fritters were topped with halloumi, poached eggs, and tomato chutney—a wonderfully delightful and unexpected combination! As someone who follows a mostly gluten-free diet, I was pleasantly surprised by the hearty offerings on the menu. The only area for improvement would be to offer gluten-free bread as an option for their sandwiches. So, the next time you find yourself in Bruntsfield, skip Dieducks and Costa, and give Project Coffee a try!

The scones here are amazing! The atmosphere is beautiful, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a good read. They offer an extensive breakfast menu and delicious baked goods, including scrumptious scones!

This is an excellent coffee spot, possibly the best in Scotland during my visit. I also noticed that they serve breakfast. Coming from Australia, I can confidently say this was the best breakfast place I experienced in Scotland. I had their carrot and coriander fritter with poached eggs, which was fantastic. And I can't emphasize enough: coffee, coffee, coffee! They also offer baked sandwiches.
