Savannah Wine Bistro

This restaurant is perfect in every way; the service, the ambiance, the food. This charming little restaurant did not disappoint. It is a great spot for a relaxing lunch and a break.

It wasn’t first visit in this nice, warm and cozy place. Beautiful, tasty dishes we had, service was great. Fast delivery to the table, nice chatty people around! Feel like home dinner, no out! Highly recommend !

We had a bottle of the house red which was very good indeed. One of the plats du jour was Lamb Shanks which we both ordered. It was beautifully cooked and tasted very delicious. A noisy table next to us but that is no fault...of the restaurant. Several tables were reserved suggesting that it was well patronised.

My daughter booked a table for four of us on a Saturday evening for eight o'clock. We were running five minutes late so we phoned ahead to warn them. Arrived at restaurant to be told that our table wasn't ready. We sat in a lounge...area and waited a while for a menu or wine list. The restaurant didn't seem busy but there was another couple in the same situation and I sensed that frustration was beginning to show. Eventually our orders were taken and after an hour we were shown to the table. After about another 25 minutes our starters arrived. We were not offered water or bread. The excuse was that they were very busy, although there was no apparent evidence of this. The front of house staff seemed somewhat untrained, walking past tables with spent dishes etc when it would have been easier and more effective to clear as they went. The food was tasty enough but when you wait nearly two hours for your main course it takes the shine off it. I hope that the management take note because it has the potential to be a fine venue. The table of four beside us were also very disappointed at the time taken to serve their meals.

I dined at this restaurant in January 2019 using a Groupon deal. The selection on the deal was limited, but the food was served quickly and efficiently. However, the man at the front of house seemed disinterested and may have been subtly rude to customers. The artwork in the restaurant was impressive.
