Staters ordered the only disappointment the partridge was over cooked and a bit dry. All mains were delicious, fresh fish and beautifully cooked risotto. Proseccco a bit over priced but was palatable. Desert a must all in all would recommend we will be back.
Second visit for me. Went with my wife for a coffee. All tables were full except one by the window with 6 seats with only 2 folks. Guy at door said no room but suggested outside. It was Baltic- a non starter. I asked if we could join the couple and the guy said sorry folks maybe next time. I went over and the couple said please join us so we sat down and paid 14 quid for coffees etc Strange attitude in a flatline economy. Seems we are not the only ones to have this experience.
I’ve been here a couple times never had any issues however went in to ask if there were any tables available and was greeted by a rude member of staff at the door who laughed and gave a very abrupt “No” back to me. There were free tables and I understand these may have been reserved however it’s not difficult to just explain that in a polite manner. Won’t be returning when there’s a few other establishments nearby who are much kinder in their approach to customer service.
We explored Granton Harbor in the morning and were ready for lunch. When we reached the restaurant around noon, it was starting to fill up, but the owner kindly made room for us even though we didn't have a reservation. The food was delicious and we enjoyed our chat with the owner and our waiter.
Great restaurant for our family visit when in Edinburgh. Good selection on the menus to satisfy all our different palates! Great atmosphere, enjoy the surroundings and art around the room. Attentive staff/owner who are more than happy to assist your needs. Definitely worth a visit!
