Castello - Edinburgh, City of

While in edinburgh, I was recommended this caffe for the espresso. it wasn't disappointed. one of the best espressos I had and not to mention ingenious service! 100% recommend if they are in the opposite.

This independent coffee shop is located in the heart of scotlands capital city in the shadow of edinburgh castle. the room in the shop has been cleverly used and there are overspill tables outside that are perfect on fair weather days. the staff in the shop are very friendly and accumical. the service is slick and the quality of the coffee is quite excellent. the shop is perfect for lunchtime with suppe, paninis, full grain bread and baked. the ambiente is warm, relaxed and welcoming and I would highly recommend this place where they are a busy office worker who wants to take a little lunch break or they are looking for the perfect place to relax after a shopping session.

I love this place. the food and coffee are amazing. but the service of the personal is second to none. they are always very friendly and polite. Today I was particularly well looked after. I can't thank them enough!

I love this little place. it's snapped in a corner and it's tiny, but there are a few tables inside and outside. it is nice to be able to sit outside on a sunny day and watch the castle. the baked and sandwiches are excellent and the coffee is some of the best to find anywhere in the city.

As I sit in this delightful space, drinking what is possibly the best coffee in Edinburgh, I am a happy man. Looking forward to returning and seeing the new menu but for now the service and coffee is enough to keep me wanting more.
