This approach is what I like to call the "Power of Duplication." A chef should be able to take that menu and replicate it successfully in 15 different cities, ensuring consistency. With a tight menu, you can hardly go wrong. Our server was fantastic and really knowledgeable. She described each dish as if she had personally prepared it, which speaks volumes about the focused menu. When I saw crab on the menu, I was thrilled, as it’s tough to find crabmeat these days without paying exorbitant prices. Unfortunately, like many other restaurants, Pajarito is currently experiencing supply issues and didn’t have any crab available. We ordered some food for ourselves, as well as for our grandson. We started with the three salsas and house-made chips (Ancho Guajillo, Charred Tomato, and Avocado-Serrano). The salsas were absolutely divine—so flavorful and definitely left us wanting more. I had planned to order the Crab Ceviche, but since crab was unavailable, I opted for the Revueltas, substituting shrimp for the crab. And wow—if you love eggs and shrimp as much as I do, this was the dish for you! The eggs were fluffy and simply delicious. In fact, it was the first time I didn’t even feel the need to ask for salt and pepper for my eggs. My wife chose the Huevos Rancheros, but unfortunately, she didn’t read the menu closely enough and didn’t realize it contained pork. We ended up switching plates, and I’m so glad we did. I have never tasted Huevos Rancheros quite like this before! The carnitas were perfectly pulled and seasoned to perfection. The dish was not only beautiful but also tasted like a slice of heaven. I had ordered mushrooms, but I’ll have to share my thoughts on those later.
We had a fantastic experience in the private room located downstairs from the main dining area. Our personal bartender ensured our drinks were always topped up, and the music created a great atmosphere. I highly recommend reserving this room for any special occasion. Cheers!
The menu is quite limited, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a few vegetarian options. The food was excellent, and the server was extremely attentive and charming. I also appreciated the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant.
Love the neighborhood, had to check out their happy hour. The salsas and chips were delicious. The chicken tinga tostada was average. Parking is a slight hassle but the ramp across the street helps.
I think they are short staffed which is understandable during this time but we only saw our server a couple of times and seemed to have forgotten about us. Food was decent. It came at random times which is awkward when you have other people in your party who haven?t gotten their food yet and you?re eating in front of them. The sweet potato was a bit soggy and not very good. We only took a couple bites and it came after we had finished everything else right before we got the check so we didn?t eat it. Please work on this. It?s one of my biggest pet peeves of restaurants. Bring the food out at the same time! The only reason I?m leaving a review is because of the amazing new server Lauren. I specifically asked for her name because she was AMAZING. I walked inside after getting our food to get silverware and napkins because we didn?t get any and nobody seemed to notice. She wasn?t serving our table but took the time to grab us silverware, refill our water glasses, and when we said the tacos were dry and needed some salsa she recommended a couple amazing options and brought them out to us right away. It made them good! She said she was new and had only been there a couple days but was very knowledgeable about the menu. She even came by later again to refill our glasses as she noticed our server was ignoring us. Keep her, give her a raise, something? she will make this place shine and was the only thing memorable about the whole experience.
