Smashburger - Eden Prairie

I have to say, this was one of the most disappointing meals I've ever had. It was completely flavorless, and I only received about 15 fries for a $14 entrée. This was my first experience with Smashburger, and after this, I have no desire to return. If I could rate it a -10 out of 10, I would—absolutely awful.

After my order, a man and his young son entered the restaurant. The same cashier greeted them with a sarcastic remark, saying, "Great! More people!" While I understand that employees have tough days sometimes, I felt compelled to write this review in hopes of encouraging some training and improvement in customer service. On a positive note, the food was served promptly, which I appreciated. However, the fries were cold and undercooked, while both of our burgers were decent and of good quality.

Bad! They used to be great. I used to hit them for lunch frequently and loved it? It?s been a couple years and they not only went downhill but crashed at the bottom. Dry burger, fries were tough and chewy, my son?s chicken sandwich was dry and bland, Tables and floors were not clean, bathroom needed serious help, there was goo on the order/table number, staff not so good either. You?ll get a better experience at any fast food place at 1/2 the cost? Next time I want a step up from fast food I?m hitting 5 Guys or MyBurger.

We walked in and heard the front counter person complain how busy they were. When he said I'll be with you shortly, I said no problem. He turned around and complained how short staffed they were. I said it's fine take your time. Me and my wife were still deciding. He said o it's fine that we are short staffed. I said no it's fine your taking your time. He complained some more and made us feel like we were an inconvenience. We turned around and went to five guys instead since he made us feel so uncomfortable. The last time I went to this place about 3 months ago it was the same guy and we got the same experience and I put up with it then. No longer will i go here. Do not go here!

I'm surprised there were only two staff working here during the lunch hour on Friday. It's obvious they're overwhelmed when there's a spike in guests. They were courteous and pleasant though and the food still came out fresh.
