フィードバックを提供するWhile driving along the coast, we decided to stop at Drift based on a recommendation from the motel clerk. It turned out to be one of the best evenings we've had. The food was incredibly delicious and paired perfectly with a selection of drinks. Our host, Lee, was fantastic. He not only provided us with great suggestions for our meal, but also took the time to recommend things to see and do in Eden and shared information about where they source their ingredients from.
This place serves tasty food and great beer. Quick and friendly service. It's definitely a nice change from some of the other dinner options in town.
Arancini Balls and the Smoked Platter shared between two with a glass of Sav Blanc. Indoors on a cool day yet with a great view out over the bay. The dull and nondescript downstairs entry had us thinking it was shut but trying the door was worth it. Fantastic food and a great host.
Went here for drinks and early dinner with our 5 month old bub and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent. There was huge range of beers and wine and cocktails were delicious! Location is unbelievable. This is exactly what Eden needed. Well worth going to!
So, I've left with mixed feelings about Drift. The service was excellent and food arrived quite promptly. Hooowever, the meals ingredients weren't as gormet as expected. A quick trip to the local Coles afterward revealed that nearly every ingredient from our hotdog and sliders originated here. The buns for the sliders and hotdog were from the bread isle, sausages were $6 a kilo and we found similar chips in the freezer. Now don't get me wrong, I'd be fine with this. But $49 in total for two dishes that can collected from Coles for $15? Really was expecting good things from my visit, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.
