My husband and I booked for Valentine's Day, intrigued by the farm to table experience and the intimate atmosphere. We were not disappointed: The atmosphere was intimate, yet cheery. Seating is limited but everyone seemed comfortable. The menu was simple with maybe 7 or so entrees, but each paired well with appropriate sides and abundant servings. Every bite was delicious. The wait staff was friendly and efficient, (we especially enjoyed one of the staffs' family members telling stories at the bar about the history of the old general store : . Dessert was delicious and just enough. I was disappointed I didn't have room to try one of their specialty tea cocktails, but plan to go back one day soon. Pricing was mid range but not at all out of proportion to the quality of the food. If you're close to the T, make sure you make a stop ;
We had a wonderful dining experience at T at the General Store. The service was excellent and the ambiance was welcoming. Our server, Melissa and the server assistant, Alex , were both courteous and professional. The raw local oyster appetizer was fresh and the ham and bean soup delicious. The seafood special, spicy mahi mahi over fried rice was cooked perfectly. The short ribs are always served with great presentation and are fall apart tender. Kudos to the chef and his team. We appreciate the entire staff!
We've been here 10+ times and have always had great food. Tonight our favorites were the baked oysters, pork chop with bacon jam and brownie sundae. I don't know any other restaurant in the area so consistently outstanding.
Absolutely wonderful! Thank you! What a great evening of food, drink and ambience! From the wine to the oyster appetizer through the steak, pork and the diner of combining an iceberg wedge and seared tuna it was so lovely. Thank you to our serve Lisa just all around great.
We have eaten here several times and always had a good experience with food and service. Unfortunately, there were major issues with both this time. I ordered the special pasta which was supposed to come with shrimp. The plate arrived without the shrimp. This is an error by the kitchen and the server. Was not a busy night so I don't know why this occurred. I flagged down the server who apologized. The shrimp arrived five plus minutes later again with an apology. No compensation was offered, scoop of ice cream etc. My wife had the chicken pot pie. It was so liquid that she was offered a spoon, rather than a fork to eat it. It was mostly sauce and a puff pastry with very little chicken. The chicken was small bits hardly noticeable. As we have had good meals in the past, I hope this was a one night aberration and not a trend.
