I met my good friend on the sunniest, warmest day of the year at my favorite pub. The lunch was truly exceptional—so delicious! Thank you for such a wonderful meal. The staff was very nice as well. I can't wait to come back soon!

The garden is one of the larger ones around, situated on a relatively busy road, but it’s not overly trafficked. If you visit on a day when the nearby cricket club is playing, you’ll truly get a village-like atmosphere, despite being in zone 5. The staff is exceptional—polite, patient, and knowledgeable. If you order too much or too little, they mention it in a gentle manner, and they have a knack for checking in to see if you need anything, doing so only when it’s truly necessary. The food is fantastic; the Sunday roast is hard to beat, but they also serve a great selection on other days. The open kitchen is a real asset—rather than being a drawback, it allows you to see the care the chef puts into preparing the dishes, making them even more appetizing. So far, everything has been great, but there is an issue with the restrooms. They have a foul odor—it’s not just a slight inconvenience, it genuinely reeks of sewage. This hasn’t improved in the last three years, suggesting it’s an issue they’ve neglected. Additionally, there’s hardly any water pressure in the taps, making handwashing a challenge, and the hand dryers are often out of service. One has to wonder how the staff manages to wash their hands.

I absolutely love a roast dinner! The cookie dessert was incredibly delicious. The staff were very friendly, and the customer service was excellent.

What a beautiful juicy old English art pub and restaurant. pity that we could only have a soft drink and stay longer. the smell brings back memories as pubs with open fires earlier it is a must to visit people and personal are amazing and professional love it and beautiful bear gardens

Lovely local pub. We sat outside where there is lots of seating and not too close to each other too. Didn't eat but they do food and looked like a decent choice but typical pub food. Would definitely be going back.
