Mario's Restaurant - East Setauket

Don’t go here. Don’t listen to the locals who think it’s okay. It’s not I’ve been coming here for ages. After the fire it went down hill bad. They left me sitting for 45 minutes waiting for my food that I ordered over the phone. Told me 20 minutes, came in nothing was ready. People come here to get drunk at the bar and order mediocre Italian food. I was just going here for grilled chicken to put with a salad. Oh and not to mention for grilled chicken and broccoli it’s 52 dollars. The girls at the front constantly gossip, and are rude and act like it’s you’re the one being rude when asking when your food will be ready. When the food was ready, it was undercooked chicken; horribly prepared broccoli, and ignored my request of no garnish. From a local, just don’t go here. Go to filletos in Commack or north port for quality service, food and mannerisms from all employees. Mario’s is not good, just save yourself the tummy ache, and go to another place :

Greeters and wait staff are all very friendly and helpful. The bar and kitchen needs a little help. We received summer sangrias that were nothing more than watered down fruit punch and the chicken Marsala was made with what looked and tasted like canned beef gravy. We had a horrible experience all of our orders were wrong or incomplete and we had to wait an extra long time for our meals. We had to put in multiple requests for bread, water refills, and to go boxes. I'm not sure if I caught them on a really bad day, but I'm hesitant to go back. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

The WORST dining experience we ever had!! Food ice cold, service extrememly slow, restaurant was relatively empty, the manager was uncaring and extrememly insincere!! Will NEVER return to Marios.
