Sonali Spice - East Riding of Yorkshire

The food at this restaurant was delicious and the table service was excellent. However, the mood took a turn for the worse when we encountered a young waiter who insisted on cash payment instead of card. After explaining that we couldn't go into town to get cash, they reluctantly accepted card but only if we left a big tip. In the end, we paid with card and left no tip. To make matters worse, they informed us that the food we requested to be bagged had been thrown away. Sonali may not be the only option in Beverley, as there are other restaurants to choose from.

This restaurant used to be a great place to dine with attentive staff, excellent service, and delicious food. However, the quality has significantly declined. The service is now slow and rude, we constantly had to chase for drink orders, and the food took far too long to arrive only to be disappointing. We won't be returning. Very disappointed.

We were very disappointed by the long wait for our food at Sonali Spice. While we have always given this restaurant high ratings in the past, we found that the service has declined significantly recently. The food was still good, but we are not in a rush to return.

I booked a table for 2 online on Saturday morning. A couple of hours later I received an email and text confirmation. On arrival at the restaurant the staff were not aware of my booking. I showed them my email confirmation, but they just kept looking up and down their reservations book in disbelief and asked me 3 times if I used a different name. The restaurant was very busy and it was getting embarrassing. I said we’d leave it when one of the staff muttered that he’d find a table. The table was not in a very good position (near the kitchen and door . I said that I prefer to sit on the edge and was told those tables were for people who had booked (I HAD booked! . So we said we’d leave it. There was absolutely no apology given to us from any of the staff. They acted like we were an inconvenience. We use this restaurant regularly and often go with friends too, but no more. It would have spoiled our evening completely, but luckily another restaurant fitted us in.

Food was lukewarm warm , pickle tray ,that cost £3 had 3 of the same dip and that was all. Samosa that cost £7 !!! Was so small a mouse would sink it in one. Chicken Pasanda £7.96 was just two chicken nuggets!! Over all experience with the food was just poor will not order again!!!
