I visited Brough for a meeting, but unfortunately, the venue's kitchen was closed for the day due to a bereavement. I then discovered the Ibar. It’s a small place with a limited but varied menu, all at mid-range prices. The service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the fish and chip platter, which was well presented. It was a little heavy on the batter, but overall, it was tasty and reasonably priced. I’m puzzled by some of the negative reviews; the waitress and chef were both very professional, and the atmosphere was welcoming, particularly from what seemed to be regular customers. While it may not be the best restaurant I've ever visited, the Ibar definitely exceeds expectations for a small town like Brough. I would recommend giving it a try.

I held my hen party at i-bar on July 28, 2018, and it was wonderful! The venue was fantastic, the staff were attentive, and the drink selection was great — not to mention the delicious buffet! Everyone who joined us had an amazing afternoon and evening. I highly recommend i-bar for private events. Thank you so much, i-bar! x

4 of us I visited bar on Thursday evening for a quick bite to eat before it went anywhere. surrounded, bar service and quality of food absolutely top notch. do not hesitate to recommend or visit this bar again. compliments to emma that cooked our food. we'll see you soon.

I had a lovely meal with my husband and son. The food was excellent, and the service was fantastic. My husband was particularly satisfied with the rib eye steak. Overall, we enjoyed a nice family dinner and I can confidently say this is the best place to eat in Brough.
