Taco Pete - East Point

Listen, that steak taco salad was incredible! My wife is very particular about her tacos—they have to be authentic. Honestly, I should have gotten her a fourth taco because they were absolutely amazing. Plus, it’s a black-owned business!

I ordered takeout (or you can eat at a picnic table), and the food was decent, especially the tacos. However, it took 35 minutes to get my order at 2:30 PM. The music was quite loud, and the two layers of bulletproof glass made it difficult to place my order. It's better than chain restaurants, but I would recommend avoiding it if you're in a hurry.

The nachos were quite filling, and I opted for extra beef without any beans. There was definitely more than enough for one sitting, but it was absolutely worth the price.

Just moved to the area and was headed home looking for something to eat. I started to go to Taco Bell and saw Taco Pete across the street and decided to try them out instead. I got the Taco salad and beef quesadila .. OF THE CHART GOOD. Everything wasfresh and seasoned right. I rarely give reviews but this is easily the best Mexican in Atlanta and some of the best I've everhad. It's that good. Like West Coast good !

Great food. The wait is long because it's cooked to order but it's worth it. Review update on 09/26/22 Upon visiting this location, I encountered the rudest of staff. I am beyond shocked and in utter disbelief at the amount of lack of respect, forbetter terms, that this employee had for me, as a customer greeting him and asking how he was doing. This guy told me he didn'thave time for my ignorance all because I said hello and asked how he was doing. This is an act of appreciation and respect thatI was taught at a very young age. Mind you, there were other customers in line behind me. He then tells me there are only 2 ofthem there. I understand that it must be a lot of pressure but that attitude shouldn't be displayed to any customer. He thenscreamed into the microphone that he will take whoever is ready to order and instructed me to step to the side because I wasn'tready to order. Though their food is normally good, I will NOT be returning nor will I recommend anyone else to this location.I prefer that my food be cooked with love not anger. I am thoroughly disappointed and insulted. Had to lower my stars after thathorrible experience.
