A wonderful Italian deli and pastry shop. I have to say it is the best in the region by far. They made a wonderful cake for my mom's birthday that was personalized and fabulous.
One of, if not the best place for Italian pastries in a hundred mile radius. They also offer a really nice selection of deli products and Italian cheeses. As well as some gelato that I've not tried but if it's on par with the quality of the rest of the items they stock should be fairly decent. Updates related to the current pandemic (posting end of June 2020): They're open for walk-in service with no seating inside and physical distancing of 6 ft required. Masks are also required, of course, and all of the staff maintain the same level of PPE and caution. They offer a few tables outside (I think maybe five of them with about two chairs per table) So seating is available if you available. We last went on a Sunday around lunch time and there was plenty of space available outside to sit.
We always love the variety of dessert options available. Tonight, the chocolate-covered strawberries, chocolate cake with strawberries and cream, and chocolate mousse were all fantastic. It's definitely one of our favorite bakeries in the area!
I absolutely love this place! Before discovering this gem, we used to frequent Starbucks for coffee and pastries. However, after finding La Fiorentina, we haven't looked back. Their croissants are incredible—so fresh and delicious! Personally, I believe that enjoying a good espresso or Americano in a proper "for here" cup is the only way to experience coffee. Their sandwiches are made with the best bread you can imagine. Honestly, why would anyone choose Starbucks for food or coffee?! The staff is fantastic, and I always appreciate the pleasant conversations with Elio, which make us feel right at home. I highly recommend this place, and we will definitely miss it!
