Denny's - East Lansing

Breakfast is the best of all time. anyway and every day down. I went into this 24 hours denny and was told that unfortunately we are closed an hour to keep our kitchen back. I know it doesn't look busy now, but we were just smashed. Excuse me, that a 24-hour dunny is closed to increase? that's like unheard. I'll never try to get to this place again.

Not a very clean place. The menus were crusted shut and salt/pepper shakers/etc were filmy on the outside.Our waitress was really nice but not super attentive. We had to remind her a few times about refills and toast. They have these STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE hush puppies and they are to die for. Just like fair food. Very sugary/sweet. Coffee was hot and the food was surprisingly good, and the omelet reheated nicely for lunch.

Our waitress was a sweetheart that was clearly trying her best. Apparently the cook walk in the middle of making my order not her fault. She apologized multiple times and was understandably stressed out. I hope the cook gets fired.

Pothole filled parking lot. The manager and employees all sat outside smoking then came in and did not wash hands. My son, husband and I were the only guests and the employees all talked very loudly and were swearing. The waitress was eating and had food in her mouth while waiting on us. The food was mediocre, not even up to par with typical Denny's food. Will not go back.

My wife and I have been patrons of this Denny's since our days at Michigan State in the early 70's.The staff is very friendly and they hustle to get you served quickly. The food is always reliably good and there is usually no trouble getting a table or a booth. They, as most restauranteurs, are having trouble finding help and that can degrade the service we had come to expect, but that cannot be held against those who were there and doing their best to serve. However, the driveway and parking lot looks like main street in Kiev. It is long past the need for general maintenance and in need of major repair or replacement. Parking is best on the East side of the building; avoid the front if at all possible.
