Shahenshah - East Hertfordshire

The food is outstanding, the owner is delightful. The restaurant is very clean and the service is excellent!

The food at Shahenshah is delicious, however the dining experience overall is marred by other factors. The restaurant's age is evident when seated inside, with my friend and I placed near some unsightly cardboard boxes. The decor is lacking and the staff's insistence on a tip was bothersome. Despite my intention to leave a tip, I found the waiter's approach rude.

I haven't visited this restaurant in a while, but I have been a patron since it first opened in 1987 (if I remember correctly). The food is consistently delicious and the service is always good. However, I do have one complaint - the men's restroom could use some improvement. The sinks are often overflowing, the floors are wet, and there is a noticeable odor. It would be great to see a better hand washing station implemented in that area.

There are better places to eat and the staff aren't particularly helpful. They seemed very put out that were were there but added a service charge on without asking. Sticky carpet and dirty toilets too.
