Calabro Retail Cheese Shop - East Haven

My husband and I really enjoy the products at this cheese shop, but the customer service was absolutely terrible this morning on 2/17/22. The sign on the door still requires masks, yet many workers were not wearing theirs when my husband went in with his mask on. He politely asked the unmasked employees to wear masks as he had to wear one himself. However, a staff member rudely asked my husband, "Are they happy now?" as he put on his mask. The masking rules should apply to both customers and employees. We do not find this behavior appropriate, and as paying customers who strive to support local businesses, we do not appreciate being spoken to in such a rude and unprofessional manner. Due to the poor customer service, we will not be returning.

We purchased their cheese in New Jersey at our local supermarket. It is by far the best ricotta we have ever tasted. Their customer service is also outstanding.

This is the best cheese I have ever tasted! The Ricotta is incredibly rich and delicious.
