Kanitar Thai Restaurant - East Geelong

Overall rating: 3.5 was eaten some Asian foods at my 5-day stay in geelong and decided to go for this popular Thai restaurant. there were plenty of seating, but very empty my favorite was definitiw her main thing: her pad see ew and pad thai, and chicken green curry. the sides were quite average. tastes were on the place, but tasted cheap. plating was pretty average. the satay spits would be a nice side to share loved the opportunity to choose the height of the flavor for each dish, the personal did well as she could taste the different levels of chili for each dish pad sea ew was exploded with sweet, hearty and a hauch of acid taste as well as the spicy from peppercorns...read more

Good thing here was that on a weekday was the only restaurant we found opened at 9 o'clock. but they did not let us go in, so they had to take. the interiors were quite old, typical regional and eat in terms of average values. prices were common.

I said less sugar in all dressed, but they are all very sweet. Grapow was not sharp at all, how could you call it basilikum and chili stir fry without a hauch of spice? When we mentioned this at the cash register, they said they were in the standard mild. but shouldn't it be medium? or why do they not ask how sharp we would be if we were to take orders? despite the large quantities and huge fresh garnes, the aromen were quite disappointing. the yum puk salad with erdnussbutter was interesting and not often seen on other Thai menus, though.

Had a good rating, so we decided to stop here for dinner while by geelong. but it turned out that it is just an average Thai restaurant. the aromes were more Australian thai than traditional thai. we tried the seafood tom yum, special fried rice, lamb massaman, and garne with red curry sauce. all the dishes were quite average. the staff was very friendly. but not over here again.

A alright Thai diner in Geelong we were told by the staffs that it's run by the same management with the all-time busy Arani restaurant so we are quite comfortable with this. Foods are not bad the taste is more accommodates to Australian-Asian style, with less hot spices but more sweet spicy. Portions are huge though.
