Sidney - East Berlin

My husband and I recently celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary at Sidney's, and everything was perfect from start to finish. I ordered the gnocchi with spicy sausage, and it was absolutely amazing.

Fantastic service, excellent cocktails, wine, and food. Thank you, Team Sidney! If only we still lived nearby. We really appreciate the way you treated Kim’s mom on her birthday.

The swordfish was incredible! It’s a refreshing and unique addition to Neil’s menu. Please don’t take my service rating too seriously; retaining staff in the front of the house is quite challenging.

My wife and I have enjoyed Sidney as a favorite restaurant for 17 years. We have noticed over the past 1-2 years that the menu selection is not as appealing and the food quality has gone from outstanding to average (with a few exceptions). All of this with prices continuing to rise… Two specific observations: 1. The bread that used to be complimentary was delicious and unique. The bread is now $8 and honestly, completely unappetizing. 2. The prime rib being removed from the menu is a travesty! You may think I am exaggerating, but we have entertained many people over the years who have all gushed over the prime rib. It was a signature dish for any Chef to be proud of. We loved the wine tasting dinners pre-pandemic and we were talking about booking one in the next couple of months, but are so afraid that we will be disappointed in the food that we are now hesitant. While we still love the atmosphere and appreciate the efforts towards creativity, we hope Sidney can find its way back to the fundamentals that have made it so delicious and special for so many years.

Very pleasant surprise for a small town in PA. Have eaten in a lot of restaurants in the Gettysburg area and most have been very disappointing. Sidney, on the other hand, exceeded expectations. The food, service and ambiance were all excellent. Fresh ingredients, proper preparation and upscale plating added to the experience. Quite pricey but we will be back.
