The Durham Diner

The overall cleanliness of the place is really concerning; the workers eat the food without any hair nets, and there are cobwebs all over the place. The water used to clean the ice cream scooper was absolutely revolting. All in all, this is a terrible restaurant experience, and I won’t be returning. Never again!

Waited 40 minutes for fries and poutine. We waited patiently because it was busy ..as the restaurant cleared out we noticed the staff just talking and not paying attention to the order..so we finally asked for our food.They blamed it on a shift change but gave us the cold poutine and fries that sat behind the counter ..there were about 5 staff members there and once food is ready do you not tell the customers that it is ready? we were the only.ones there. Very disappointed and will not be returning. Looked like the staff was there for more of a social gathering.

I have never been to such a dirty eatery in all my life, dead bugs cobwebs on the window sills, a dead fly squished on the window blood and guts, worker had no mask no gloves on, handling food in and out of back room an washroom no washing hands, This place needs to be shut down

The restaurant is in desperate need of a deep clean. Food was absolutely awful. We were told it would be 10 minutes and it took at least 40. The fries and poutine were inedible.... very disappointing.

Keep driving past this place! We were really disappointed with the poor quality of food, tiny portion sizes, and the overall high prices. The cleanliness was also lacking. This restaurant used to be great, but on July 3rd, we stopped by with a group of hungry friends. They ordered the two-piece haddock dinners, which were priced at $21.50 each. When the food arrived, I doubt each dinner even contained 4 ounces of fish, along with a small serving of fries. The food was overcooked, greasy, and definitely not worth the price. Don’t be fooled, everyone! Just keep moving!
